ECS Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 September 2026

Summary. Easy Camera Solutions (ECS) is a local-network app. It has no user accounts, no cloud service, and Easy Tech Solutions collects no personal information about you through it. Camera footage, snapshots, and face data never leave your local network — the app talks only to cameras on the same network as your computer.

Scope

This policy covers the Easy Camera Solutions desktop application for macOS and Windows, published by Easy Tech Solutions ("we", "us"), in both its free (Lite) and paid (Pro) editions. The etsproducts.in website has its own separate policy.

At a glance

  • Data collected by us: none.
  • Data shared with third parties: none.
  • Account required: no.
  • Cloud dependency: none, at any tier — the app works entirely on your local network.
  • Advertising or tracking identifiers: none.
  • Analytics or crash-reporting SDKs: none.

What the app does on your network

ECS connects to IP cameras you add, over your local network, using the standard RTSP protocol — the same way any NVR or camera viewer works. It can optionally scan your local network (ONVIF discovery and a port scan) to help you find cameras to add; this traffic stays on your network and is never sent to us. Live video is decoded on your device and shown in the app; nothing is uploaded anywhere.

What the app stores on your device

Camera settings (name, IP address, port) are stored in a local file on your device. Camera passwords are stored using your operating system's own secure credential storage (macOS Keychain / Windows Credential Locker) — never as plaintext, and never by us.

If you use the Pro edition's detection features, short video segments and snapshot images are written to a local folder on your device so the app can look for people and match faces. In the Pro edition, you may optionally register known people by name with a reference photo, and the app stores a mathematical representation of each face (a numeric "embedding") locally, together with your labels — not the reference photo pixels themselves, beyond the one photo you chose to keep. None of this — video, snapshots, labels, or face data — is transmitted to us or to any third party. There is no server on our side receiving any of it.

Information we collect

None. ECS does not create an account or profile, does not transmit your camera footage, snapshots, or face data to us or anyone else, contains no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting components, and does not track you across apps or websites.

Network access

ECS makes local-network connections to the cameras you add (RTSP) and, if you use it, local-network discovery to help find cameras. It makes no internet or cloud calls at any tier — the Pro edition's detection models are bundled inside the app itself rather than downloaded, specifically so the app never needs to reach the internet to work. If a future version introduces an optional online feature, it will be off by default, clearly described in the app, and this policy will be updated before that version ships.

Device permissions

ECS asks for:

  • Local network access — to connect to the IP cameras you add and, optionally, to discover them.
  • Files / storage access — to save its local camera list, credentials reference, and (Pro edition) detection snapshots and face data on your device.

ECS does not access your computer's own built-in camera or microphone, and does not request access to your contacts, photo library, calendar, or messages. "Camera access", in this app, means connecting to separate IP cameras on your network — never the camera built into your computer.

Deleting your data

Because there is no account and we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. To remove ECS data from a device:

  • remove individual cameras or known people inside the app to clear that data while keeping ECS installed; and/or
  • uninstall the app and delete its local data folder, which removes the camera list, credentials reference, and any stored snapshots or face data.

Children

ECS is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. Do not use it if you are below the minimum age for software downloads in your country.

A note on face recognition (Pro edition)

The Pro edition's optional face-identification feature is intended for a business owner or operator to recognise people they choose to register (for example, staff or regular visitors) using cameras they own or are authorised to operate. You are responsible for using this feature lawfully, including any notice or consent requirements that apply where you operate the cameras. All face data stays on your device, under your control, as described above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date above and post the new version at this address. Changes that affect how the app behaves will also appear in the app's release notes.
